Spring

April 24, 2012 by Mary Jane 6 Comments

Our unusually warm spring finds us taking many walks.

We visit our nearby neighbors.

We eat delicious treats which over wintered and were not eaten by others. Wintergreen berries. Minty fresh!

Gorgeous local eggs are everywhere.

Deviled, and topped with our latest foraged favorite: Wild Watercress!!!

Yummo! I’ve used wintergree oil and had some extract in herbal medicine but fresh wintergeen berries, now that’s exotic!

    Hi Mary Jane,
Those eggs look delicious! I like how you piped them and garnished them with a sprig each. 😛

wintergreen berries are the biggest treat and I think they’re exotic too. I know you can make tea with the leaves, but not sure what else to do with them.

deviled eggs are always a favorite, they were my contribution to Easter this year.

I love beavers and wish I lived near some so I could try to catch them in action.

you will just have to come for a visit except my dog and I thought we could sneak up on them to see them, but as we approached the dam, we heard their tails slap and that was it, nary a glimpse, only their handiwork.
