Aah, how beautiful… such a fleeting visit! Is it in the care of a friend of yours?!

I have been regretting not buying more colourwork pieces at the Spiders Web when we were in Lerwick after knitcamp. I bought a pair of fingerless gloves in Prince of Wales pattern in great forties colours… bu left behind some gloves that had won first prize in one of the Shetland shows. So silly. Did you find many treasures while you were there?

I kick myself too. I only got two pairs of “half gloves”, one for a gift. My daughter lost one of remaining shared pair…and I’ve miss-placed the other. Reason to go back right?
The hat in the picture walked in out of the snow on top of a baseball hat, I would have loved to snap it “in the wild” but it’s owner is a shy one. His mom got it in the 60s or 70s..I like how the colors are light versions of the really traditional colors.

I wonder if said child might (permanently) “misplace” it the next time they’re over ;o)

at least you have a photo-memory

I’M SORRY! It does truly make me sick to my stomach. It was in my car. I think it must have fallen out when I opened the door or something. Yes, I am a bad daughter.

you are not a bad daughter, I lost the other one, so we can’t both be bad. We are both very very good. I bet we’ll find them both in the spring. It just means we need to go back to Shetland.
