Hey all! I hope my American friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I am so thankful for all the kindness and support you, my readers show me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
There are some great specials going on right now that I’d like you to know about. Craftsy is having a blow-out sale, with all classes priced at $19.99 or less, including my class The Fair Isle Vest: Stranded and Steeked.
This class is a great introduction to stranded knitting of all kinds, and particularly fair isle knitting. Don’t think you have to make the vest either, the lessons you learn can be applied to any stranded colorwork you want to do. Come on, you know you want to learn! I humbly hope even stranded colorwork veterans will even learn something, or at very least add to the conversation. Four days only, the sale ends Monday December 2 at midnight – Mountain Time.
I’m thrilled to be teaching at Vogue Knitting Live NY this January 2014. It is my first time teaching at the NY event and I’m really looking forward to it. I spent my college years in NYC and stayed for 10 years. I can’t wait to feel the energy. I’m teaching some of my favorite classes. The organizers have promised a special gift for participants who sign up with this special code NYTEACHER14. Hope to see some of you there.
You may have noticed I have a new Facebook Business page. That’s right! It will be a great place to broadcast just knitting and crafting related stuff, a one stop place to find current MJ events! I’d love it if you’d hop on over there and “like” my shiny new page…I feel so…business like!
Lastly there’s calendar in the side bar now that should also keep you up-to-date on my events as well. I’ve just added the Block Island Fiber Retreat, May 3-6. It is hosted byNorth Lights Fibers, one of the leading Micro Yarn Mills in the country with gorgeous minimally processed yarns. Franklin Habit and Gudrun Johnston will be teaching as well. It is bound to be fantastic – great food, wonderful location with stunning views and I bet lots of hiking opportunities.
Lots of wonderful things coming up this new year! Stay tuned!
Join the party now and celebrate Craftsy’s milestone of 2,000,000 members! Classes and supplies are on sale for up to 75% off, now through Saturday, September 21st!
