Ok, where the heck have I been? Answer: All Over The Place!
Too much to cover, and I’m in a hurry to get to my daughter’s birthday celebration – Happy Birthday Sophie – my dear darling dumpling!!!
I have to mention that I took a class from the amazing Sarah Swett, she knocked my motif-making right on it’s head! This was at Madrona in Tacoma Washington at a fabulous Hotel, the Murano…wowee…I saw all kinds of friends there – fun fun fun – what a fantastic event I aim to go again, and again and again!
Now I’m back in Maine and last night was a bona fide blizzard! Woo-hoo life is good.
I’ve got a book signing tomorrow at my local yarn shop, Heavenly Socks aka Helen’s. I have my hot pink Sharpie. There will be coffee and goodies!!!! Ten AM – Hope to see you there!
What am I making? A Hat for Green Mountain Spinnery’s Sugar Season Retreat!
The yarn is dreamy!

I wish I could come!! Two summers ago, we vacationed on MDI and stopped at Helen’s on the way up there. Happily, Liz (with whom I had been blog buddies for years) was working! Have a great book signing! Are you having any book signings in Boston????? 🙂
And, you can totally rock the 5K in the Fall. I will email you the training program that I did — it was great. I wasn’t a runner until last year and I just ran a 10K last weekend.

Busy girl! I saw Sarah Swett’s knitting when I first learned to knit and I dreamed of being her in every way ; ) I haven’t seen her name around since then so it is lovely to know she is going strong…
Your hat looks so sweet. Have fun at the book signing- I am loving mine!
xx

I planned to drive from Waterville to have you sign my book today, but the snow (with predicted mixed stuff to come by noon) is keeping me away. Sigh. Have fun!

Hopefully next year I can get to Madrona (pretty much on my doorstep) and maybe see YOU!!!

Hey Mary Jane! Is there a way of buying the Fair Isle Book that is better for you, as the author? I know some authors like to have buyers link to Anazon via their blogs, because they get a little more $$$ that way. I’ve been dyeing with eucalyptus and pomegranate, and I see a traditional Fair Isle project in my future.
