    wonderful photo. amazingly soft light. is it a straw bale home? the walls look very thick.

    Yes! a surfboard, my husband made it. the whole family made the house, out of Durisol blocks which are made from recycled wood chips and cement. stack ’em up just like leggos! the walls are a minimum of a foot thick, more with plaster inside and stucco out.

    Rad board – and the light hitting the corners of the windows make the photo look like an Andrew Wyeth painting.
